Looking at regulation within the Events Industry from different standpoints, this seminar will be chaired by Brian Kirsch, Eventia's Head of Regulation Committee and Managing Director of Event Assured which is the recognised insurance specialist in the corporate events and C&IT sector.
Discussing TOMS and other tax issues will be VAT specialist David Bennett of Saffery Champness Chartered Accountants. David will consider the practical consequences of the recent changes to the VAT regime and what event management companies can do to improve their position.
Looking at ATOL reforms and the Aviation Bill will be David Clover from CAA. David will explain the thinking behind the reforms in the Aviation Bill and brief members on how changes to the ATOL regime will affect their businesses. He will also explore what further changes the Government may have in mind for future consultations.
And Grania Sweeting will be speaking about human resources issues in particular the status of freelancers in the events sector. Grania is a HR specialist, providing affordable people management support to organizations. CIPD qualified she provides practical HR advice on a retained, ad hoc or fully outsourced basis via her company, Grapevine HR Ltd.
