Destination Management Company Representation
What we do is quite straightforward – we source Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events, MICE business, within the UK by promoting our partner Destination Management Companies’, (DMCs), destinations along with their DMC services to UK Event organisers.
How we work is perhaps best summed by our business philosophy – GTA is - Small Enough to Care: Professional Enough to Matter: Focused Enough to Deliver.
GTAssociates was formed on 1 January 2010. Gill Talbot, the founding partner of GTAssociates was invited to establish a Destination Management Representation Company to represent two Destination Management Companies to the UK MICE market.
Our current formal partners and destinations are ODS Turkey: EC Meetings Malta: Olé Special Events Spain and The Canaries: Islandbridge Events The Balearics: Event Partners Ireland: Welcome Swiss and Welcome Italy : S’TOURS Voyages Morocco: Greece and Cyprus DMC TBA with effect 01 Jan 2012.
1 September 2010, Alan Wodzynski joins GTAssociates, becoming a Full Time Partner on 1 April 2011
GTA's PHILOSOPHY IS:
• SMALL ENOUGH TO CARE
We control our growth in new DMC Partners in order to be able to absorb enough knowledge of the country so as to provide objective advice to UK Event Organisers. Controlling our growth also means that all of our DMC’s can be given high exposure in the UK Market
• PROFESSIONAL ENOUGH TO MATTER
We recognise that for Event Organisers the DMC service from point of enquiry to point of contracting is as important to their time management and reputation as is the delivery of the event itself to their ongoing success.
We do not step back once an enquiry is sent to our DMC’s. We aim to work alongside the UK Event Organiser from Event concept to Event completion acting as their resource/partner much the same as we do with our DMC partners. We provide a vital communication channel between all parties
• FOCUSED ENOUGH TO DELIVER
We understand our limits to deliver a professional service. We accept that with two GTAssociates’ partners there is a maximum number of DMC partners that we can work effectively with. We now prefer to work with a DMC informally before considering formal representation. This allows us to acquire destination knowledge while establishing that the DMC’s working practices and service levels meet the standards GTAssociates require.
