Head of Education Committee

Mark Sale, Air Partner Commercial Jets Business Development Manager, Education Committee

Mark joined the international air charter company Air Partner plc in 1999, the year it changed its name from Air London to reflect its growing global influence. At the time it had four offices in Europe and the USA – today it has more than 20 stretching around the globe and a vastly expanded array of services and products covering the entire spectrum of private air travel using every type of jet.

His initial role within Air Partner’s London-Gatwick HQ was to set up the Group’s travel agency division, Air Partner Travel Consultants. This was a challenging but successful task and four years later, when the department was firmly established, he moved into the Commercial Jets division which charters airliners to move groups of every size around the world. Having spent time in sales and as a broker, his current focus is on business development.

Mark's career in the travel industry spans 25 years. He started out at Britannic Travel in Worcester Park in 1980 and then spent three years in the freight forwarding industry from 1983-1986 before joining the independent travel agency Sealandair Travel. He was a director for six of the 13 years he worked for the company, which specialised in organising travel logistics for music and entertainment industry tours.

As a member of Eventia’s education committee he is committed to help move its education programme forward and hopes to bring a new perspective to the Eventia Board being from a transport supplier.
