Following the elections to Eventia’s 2010-11 Board, the Association has announced its newly-constituted Membership Committee.
Existing Committee Heads Matt Storey, Head of Business Development at Gallowglass and Alison Ayling-Hogberg, National Account Manager, De Vere Hotels, Resorts, Venues, are joined by fellow Board Member Rick Stainton, Managing Director of integrated event production agency Smyle.
Additional Committee Members are:
- Matthew Blood, Account Manager, ExCeL London
- Mark Flashman, Regional Director of Sales, Principal Hayley Hotels and Conference Venues
- Liz Madden, Head of Sales and Marketing, ES Group
The Committee will also be supported by Eventia’s Membership & Marketing Services Manager, Harpreet Tumber.
Matt Storey said: “It’s hugely gratifying that such a dynamic group of people have expressed an interest in driving the Association’s membership. Our ongoing aim is to recruit new members from the broadest possible church so that Eventia can represent the interests and concerns of the events industry as a whole.
“It’s no coincidence that the team includes people from the hotel, venue and production sectors, all of whom will be actively recruiting from their own spheres of operation.”
Eventia’s membership numbers have been progressively growing since the Association was created in 2006, and currently totals 300.
Matt Storey added: “As always, membership is driven by the strength of our agency base, and for the next 12 months we will be looking specifically to drive the involvement of production, technical, experiential agencies and CAPS members (Corporate Association & Public Sector) – giving us an even spread that encompasses business-to-business, business-to-consumer and business-to-employee activity.”
